Day 11: San Pantaleo - Spiaggia Bados
Today we first headed to San Pantaleo, a picturesque mountain village that’s part of the municipality of Arzachena. On Thursdays, a well-known artisans’ and artists’ market takes place there, stretching through the entire old town so it was understandably crowded, both on the streets and when looking for parking. At the stalls, we discovered cashmere sweaters, colorful clothing, handicrafts, and jewelry. In between, we popped into a small church and refueled with baguettes topped with cold cuts. Towering above the village rooftops are the rugged, jagged granite cliffs that make the area so special.
We continued on to Spiaggia Bados near Olbia. From there, we had a great view across the water to Isola Tavolara, which rises out of the sea like a flat-topped mountain lying on its side. We spent the afternoon simply relaxing on the beach.
